Thank you for your interest in your potential employment in Japan at BernardEnglishSchool.

Primarily we recruit two times a year. These are in March and then again in August.

A desire to work with children is a major factor with the school, the ability to have fun, be flexible, hard working, adaptable, and most importantly – enthusiastic with a creative flair. Conditions apply to the application

  1. An applicant must have at least a University bachelor’s degree (any field)
  2. Must have been born and be a permanent resident of an English native speaking country
  3. Have at least one years full time work experience

For your application to be seriously considered as a potential candidate to join our team of 24 teaching staff, please fill in the application form along with the required documentation as detailed below. This is best to be emailed to the company all at once.

  • Resume
  • Copies of your university degree/s
  • Copies of your teaching certificates
  • Letter stating why you want to live and work in Japan
  • Copy of a current photo
  • Copy of your Driver's License (International Driver's Permit will be required prior to your arrival)
  • Copy of your passport
  • Date of availability
  • Contactable references

Once this has been done, then the president (Ms.) Yuko Bernard will want to have a telephone interview with you.

Please Note: Any application that is not submitted with all required documentation shall not be processed until such time that all documents have been received. For speed of processing, it is an advantage that the submission contains all documents at the same time.
